At Trauma Healing Journeys, we believe that healing is both deeply personal and profoundly transformative. Every individual’s story is unique, and so is their journey toward healing. Our mission is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nurturing healing environment for those navigating mental health challenges—including trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and treatment-resistant conditions.

We offer a comprehensive range of mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and ketamine-assisted therapy designed to meet your unique needs. Our licensed therapists and integrative psychiatric providers work together to create personalized treatment plans that address both the emotional and biological aspects of healing.

For those seeking deeper transformation, we offer ketamine-assisted psychotherapy: an evidence-based treatment that combines the therapeutic benefits of ketamine with trauma-informed, emotionally attuned psychotherapy. This powerful modality is always conducted with the highest medical standards and safety protocols in place.

At the core of our work is a commitment to meeting you where you are—with professionalism, respect, and warmth. Whether you're just beginning your healing journey or continuing to build on previous growth, we are here to walk beside you every step of the way. Our goal is not only to treat symptoms, but to help you reconnect with yourself, find emotional balance, and experience lasting, meaningful change.

Zac Austin, LAMFT

Therapist

Zac carries the deeply-held conviction that it is his life’s greatest privilege and joy to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families in their most vulnerable life moments. It is a guiding principle and belief that the most authentic and meaningful growth and discovery can happen even in the most uncertain and challenging circumstances. During the process of healing, we can become acquainted with our most resilient, authentic, and compassionate selves, and discover the strength and goodness in ourselves that we have carried all along. Zac cares a great deal about multicultural & LGBTQ+ issues, healing from religious and family wounds, and using creativity in order to heal. He utilizes a combination of Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and a variety of somatic practices in order to develop an individualized and comprehensive approach to the traumas that we carry, and to understand how our relationships can thrive when we commit to the healing process.

Zac believes that the most impactful healing happens when we deepen our relationship with our most authentic selves, and courageously step into vulnerable relationships with the people who consistently care for us.

As a Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (LAMFT), Zac works with individuals, couples, and families to discover how relationships – past and present – have shaped who we have become and how we relate to the world around us. His early career was spent developing meaningful relationships with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, where he was committed to assisting families in developing meaningful and long-lasting support systems for one another. He also spent much of his career working alongside teens and young adults as they navigated numerous challenges in an ever-changing and developing world. Zac graduated from Fuller School of Psychology with his masters in Marriage & Family Therapy, where he was shaped personally, professionally, and academically. He left his time in the academic world with an understanding that humans are both incredibly complex and carry limitless value within themselves. His greatest passion and purpose is to provide a voice for those who have been unheard, and to create space for the unseen to be fully discovered for who they are.
