SERVING PHOENIX, ARIZONA

Ketamine therapy for Phoenix, at our practice in Scottsdale

There are ketamine clinics closer to home. That isn't usually why people choose one.
We're in Scottsdale, easily reached from Phoenix. What makes it worth the drive is how the work is done. A clinician stays in the room for every session, and the medicine is always paired with therapy.

Why Scottsdale

Why people come to us from Phoenix

Ketamine on its own and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy are two different things.
Most ketamine care is built around the dose. Ours is built around the relationship that holds it.
Common elsewhere
Ketamine on its own
Plenty of providers administer a dose and leave the patient alone with it.
How we work
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy
We never leave someone alone during a session. A licensed psychiatric provider stays with you throughout, helping ensure medical readiness. Preparation before and integration after are part of the work.

Our approach

Psychiatry and trauma work in one place

Most people carry their care between two offices. A prescriber in one, a therapist in another, and the two rarely compare notes. Here the prescription and the trauma work are one plan, held by a team trained across both.

Our clinicians work in a trauma-informed, body-based way.

Approaches we draw on
Somatic Experiencing®
Internal Family Systems
Attachment repair
Deep Brain Reorienting · Dr. Michael Yasinski

That plan can include trauma-informed psychiatry, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, or both, depending on what you need and what you have already tried.

What it involves

What ketamine therapy involves

Every client starts with a psychiatric assessment. Treatment then moves through preparation, the medicine sessions, and integration.
1
Psychiatric assessment
Determines whether treatment is appropriate and medically safe.
2
Preparation
Intentions and patterns, before any medicine.
3
Medicine sessions
A clinician in the room throughout.
4
Integration
Carrying what surfaced into daily life.
Each part matters. Together, they are the treatment.
i
Ketamine used for depression, PTSD and anxiety is an off-label treatment. It is not FDA approved for these conditions and it is not right for everyone. Whether it is appropriate for you is a clinical decision made after an assessment.

Planning your visits from Phoenix

Approaches we draw on

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy is a series of visits, not a single appointment. Preparation, medicine sessions and integration all happen in person at our Scottsdale practice, so plan around the full course.

Questions

What people from Phoenix ask us

If something you need to know isn't here, call and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you wonder.

Do you have an office in Phoenix?

No. Our practice is in central Scottsdale at 8686 E. San Alberto Dr., Scottsdale, AZ 85258. We see people from across the Valley, including Phoenix.

How is this different from a ketamine clinic closer to me?

The difference is the care around the medicine. Every ketamine session here includes a licensed psychiatric provider who stays with you throughout, and treatment includes preparation before sessions and integration afterward, rather than the medicine on its own.

Do ketamine sessions happen in person?

Yes. Ketamine-assisted sessions take place at our Scottsdale practice, with a clinician in the room for the full session. Preparation and integration are part of the same course of care.

Do you take insurance?

We are a private pay practice and are not in network with insurance plans, including Medicare, Medicaid and AHCCCS. We can provide a superbill on request for plans with out-of-network benefits.

Do you see children or teenagers?

No. We work with individuals 18 and older.
